The Youth Ambassadeurs Programme is designed for children in high school. The programme provides an opportunity for students to change the future of their society by how they view and treat the natural environment.
Schools/organisations do not need to start a new 'club' if they already have one that can be chartered. For example, if the school already has a service club, an environment club or a science club, our activities can be incorporated into the club's programme.
As a Chapter, students are challenged to take care of their environment, beginning with their schools. The programme is built around our 7 Rs which teach them to RETHINK their relationship with the environment and with the products that we use, REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, REPURPOSE, RECYLE and REFLECT as they help to protect the earth. They are challenged to think critically, and to use data to inform solutions.
The programme uses citizens science to establish baseline and timeline data as they examine practical solutions to the questions:
Earth Day is on April 22, 2023! The Earth Ambassadeurs will be commemorating the day with a beach clean-up activity at Pagee Beach in St. Mary.
